Study and research activities

Independent research and other activities

WAVE sets up internal study groups comprised of experts from academia, government, and elsewhere as the need arises to conduct independent research activities and environmental research activities. Also, for appropriate issues, WAVE conducts joint research in cooperation with private enterprises. The results of all research are taken into account when drawing up the necessary policy proposals.

  1. Ongoing independent research activities include studies in the following areas:
    • Research on scenic planning and culture
    • Research on port and harbor logistics
    • Research on coastal restoration
    • Research on waterfront
  2. Main joint research project

Revision of the Manual for Planning and Planting of Green-areas in Ports and Harbors.

  3. The results of WAVE's research are compiled and published
